I have been practising acupuncture in Totnes since moving to the South West in 2012. I came here to be closer to nature, the moors and the sea, and to live in a friendly, vibrant community.
I trained at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, in Reading and qualified in 2011. My training course encompassed both Traditional Chinese Medicine and Five element styles of acupuncture. This integration of styles enables me to target specific problems as well as treating on a deeper constitutional level. I hold a Licentiate (LicAc) and a BSc (Hons) in Acupuncture.
I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council and adhere to a strict code of professional standards and safe practice.
I have an ongoing commitment to continuing professional development; regularly participating in courses to broaden my skills and knowledge.
I have also volunteered as an acupuncturist overseas and have worked in community clinics in both Burma and India. These experiences continue to influence me and inspire the way I practice back in Totnes.
From June 2019 I will be on maternity leave and am delighted to be entrusting my practice to Sarah Green whilst I am away.
I am a fully qualified TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) acupuncturist with extensive experience gained over 20 years in practice. Dedicated to professional development, I have consistently undertaken postgraduate learning in acupuncture with particular focus on:
- Practical skills
- Musculo-skeletal conditions
- digestive disorders and dietary therapy.
I am also a Master Practitioner of NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) which engages the power of the mind for better results, and I have completed an extensive training & practice in Coaching, with particular emphasis on food and eating.
I was a Member of the British Acupuncture Council for over 15 years and continue to uphold their high standards of training, professionalism, safety and ethics. I have comprehensive practitioner insurance.
