As we move from late Summer into Autumn we may notice the active, dynamic, outward moving yang of the summer gives way to the calmer, more reflective and introspective yin of Autumn and Winter. It can feel like there’s a need to slow down and replenish reserves or emotionally we may feel a sadness. Autumn is associated with grief- when the vitality of Spring and Summer fades until it’s re-emergence in Spring.
It’s not always easy for us to slow down and replenish reserves with the many pressures and responsibilities of modern life, so this is a good time to come for acupuncture and let the needles do the work! By balancing the relevant elements and associated meridians, acupuncture can help during the transition of the seasons, strengthening you and making you less susceptible to illness during the Autumn and Winter months
